Description

The Hopp Foundation supports public and non-profit schools in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate within the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region in conducting one-day project days, during which students explore a given topic from multiple perspectives using agile methods. The goal is to strengthen problem-solving skills and social competencies by having experienced coaches guide participants through concept development and implementation. Topics can range from climate protection measures to establishing a student council or founding a student company. Through the intensive use of agile working methods such as Design Thinking or Scrum, creative exchange in small teams is encouraged, and individual agency is made visible.

A 100 percent grant is available to all public or non-profit schools located in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Funding prerequisites include the submission of an application form along with a topic description, timeline, and indication of the expected number of participants. Applications can be submitted at any time, as there is no fixed deadline. Selection criteria focus on the multiperspective choice of topic, feasibility of the project, and the use of agile methods. Following the project days, a brief report on results and measures already implemented is required. The entire process—from application through concept development to reporting—is closely coordinated with the foundation’s experts.
