Description
Since October 31, 2013, a continuously open grant program in Styria has offered non-profit organizations the opportunity to finance evidence-based psychological treatments for minors and their families. Professionally qualified clinical psychologists employ various psychotherapeutic interventions and accompanying psychodiagnostics to specifically address individual developmental, behavioral, and interactional issues. In addition to treating psychological functions, the sustainable strengthening of the child’s welfare is central, while parents and guardians are systematically supported in their parenting practices. The goal is to empower clients to develop alternative solution strategies independently, thereby achieving long-term relief or elimination of distressing problems.
The funding is aimed at private, officially approved child and youth welfare institutions with a valid written service contract with the Styrian State Government. Eligible participants are children and adolescents as well as their families and accompanying persons with a valid care agreement. The funding offer covers the thematic areas of Health, Children and Youth, Social Affairs, and Counseling and Business Financing and is focused on the Styria region. The funding is provided as a grant and enables a planned coverage of part of the costs for psychological services without exclusion periods, valid indefinitely since October 31, 2013. The grant is awarded by Department 11 Social Affairs of the Styrian State Government, ensuring consistent professional support and quality assurance. Through legally compliant framework conditions according to the Federal Child and Youth Welfare Act 2013 and StKJHG-DVO, non-profit providers are sustainably supported in creating low-threshold access to psychological care and permanently strengthening the psychosocial infrastructure for young people.
