Description
Qualification Support in Burgenland: The qualification support of the state of Burgenland assists resident employees with professional further training and advanced qualification measures. Course fees, course materials, and travel expenses are funded depending on the type of qualification, with subsidies ranging from 50% to 100% (up to a maximum of €4,500). Specially favored are, for example, apprenticeship final exams, master craftsman exams, or qualifications in care and future professions. The support is available to employees, unemployed persons, job seekers, conscripts and civilian service personnel, freelance service providers, as well as persons on parental leave – regardless of the extent of employment. A prerequisite is the main residence in Burgenland and a gross annual income of up to €50,000 (or up to €55,000 for single parents and sole earners). Qualification measures must be offered by certified adult education institutions and be applicable in future fields of activity or serve as a basis for further examinations. Unemployed persons and job seekers must provide proof of employment within eight months after the end of the course.
Applications must be submitted no later than four months after completion of the measure and include the submission of the application form, income proofs, course attendance confirmation, examination certificate, invoice, and proof of payment, as well as, if applicable, employer and training institution confirmations. The funding aims to promote equal opportunities, compensate for existing disadvantages, and increase professional mobility in Burgenland. It complements existing labor market policy instruments and strengthens participation in economic developments. With transparent processing and clearly defined requirements, the qualification support contributes to promoting individual career paths and sustainably raising the qualification level in the region.
