Description

The Rainer Markgraf Foundation enables young people in the Upper Palatinate and Upper Franconia, whose financial situation hinders professional development, to receive tailored support for vocational training, master courses, advanced studies, and doctoral programs. With a monthly grant of up to €1,100, course and tuition fees, living expenses, and qualification-related costs are covered for up to twelve months. The individual design is based on the respective funding needs: professional skills and personal maturity are equally strengthened to sustainably enhance the economic attractiveness of the region and support the integration of young professionals into local companies.

Eligible for funding are committed young professionals with outstanding academic or study-related achievements as well as demonstrated financial need. A strong connection to the Upper Palatinate or Upper Franconia and the willingness to actively contribute to the regional environment after completing qualifications are central selection criteria. Furthermore, social competence, personal maturity, and civic awareness are considered in the decision-making process. Interested applicants submit a personal letter of application, proof of achievement, the completed self-disclosure of financial status, and proof of citizenship. Since applications can be submitted at any time, timely submission is recommended to enable evaluation and a prompt funding decision.
