Description

The funding program "Qualification and Employment of Young People (QuB)" in Hesse is aimed at public and non-profit youth welfare organizations under SGB VIII that support disadvantaged target groups in the transition from school to work. The goal is continuous skill development through socio-pedagogically supervised qualification and employment placements, as well as optional measures to obtain the secondary school leaving certificate. Annual subsidies of up to €9,900 are granted per placement, increased to up to €12,300 upon successful acquisition of the secondary school leaving certificate. In addition, transnational measures within the project framework can be subsidized with additional funds of up to €8,000 per placement.

Funding is provided for disadvantaged young people with primary residence in Hesse who have not yet reached the age of 30, demonstrate a special need for support over a period of at least six months, and are not sufficiently supported by the SGB II/III benefit systems. This particularly includes youths without a secondary school leaving certificate as well as asylum seekers with a prospect of staying. Prerequisites for project implementation include an employment scope of 25 to 40 hours per week (at least 15 hours participation per participant), the provision of 1.5 to 2.5 socio-pedagogical specialists per ten placements, socio-pedagogically supervised internships of two to six weeks per employment year, and a maximum duration of stay of 24 months. Electronic applications are submitted within the framework of the ESF Hesse funding calls via WIBank.
