Description

The qualification funding for employees offers companies operating throughout Austria the opportunity to specifically invest in the further training of disadvantaged workers. Funded are labor market-relevant and cross-company applicable qualification measures with a minimum scope of 16 hours in presence or live online. Participants from defined target groups – such as low-qualified individuals, older employees, or women under certain conditions – receive a reimbursement of up to 50% of the course costs. Furthermore, the Public Employment Service covers 50% of personnel costs during the teaching periods for persons with a maximum compulsory schooling qualification. Up to €10,000 can be utilized per application and person, whereby companies make a direct contribution to securing jobs and improving career paths as well as income situations.

A prerequisite for funding is a fully insured or on parental leave employment relationship of the participants, as well as the agreement on further training between employer and employee. A detailed course offer from the provider must be part of the application. Applications can be submitted continuously until the budget is exhausted; the complete application must be submitted via the eAMS account at least one week before the course starts. Excluded from funding are, among others, regular studies and postgraduate programs, pure product trainings, meetings, conferences, and individual coaching. With this funding initiative, the Public Employment Service strengthens the employability of the target groups and contributes sustainably to economic development.
