Qualification Initiative Construction

The Construction Qualification Initiative in Styria supports companies from the construction and related trades as well as short-term unemployed individuals with a re-employment commitment through targeted funding of specialized further training measures. The goal is to significantly enhance the qualifications of entrepreneurs and employees, secure the location, and sustainably stabilize jobs. Funding applications can be submitted until 31.12.2026, with program years encompassing winter course cycles and specific subject content from the official course catalog “Construction Qualification Initiative.” The funding provides a grant of up to 50% of the course costs, thereby representing a significant impetus for maintaining competitiveness and promoting young talent in the regional construction sector.

All company sizes are eligible for funding – from micro-enterprises to large corporations – provided they are based in Styria. Likewise, short-term unemployed individuals can be considered from the time of application submission, provided a binding re-employment commitment exists. Eligible expenses include exclusively the course fees of recognized training providers. Crucial for the application is the complete submission of the required documents according to the SFG website before the start of the training. After a positive funding decision, the grant is usually disbursed upon completion of the measure and submission of appropriate payment receipts. The Construction Qualification Initiative thus makes a significant contribution to strengthening skilled labor potential and sustainably promoting the regional construction industry.
