Description
The RatzFatz funding from the Pfadfinden Foundation is aimed nationwide at non-profit development groups and troops within the Federation of German Girl and Boy Scouts (BdP) who wish to carry out special activities and group events for children and youth. Grants of €100, €150, or €200 can be applied for within a few days – completely unbureaucratic via an online form. The goal of the funding is to strengthen social cohesion and democratic engagement within scouting by quickly providing experience and workshop materials with small amounts of money. Applications can be submitted continuously; a final report and appropriate photos serve for documentation and final accounting.
The prerequisite is membership in a development group or troop of the BdP in Germany; state associations and the federation itself are not eligible to apply. Only expenses that directly contribute to the implementation of the activity are funded – equipment or device purchases are excluded. Evaluation criteria include the speed of implementation and the broadest possible participation of members. This low-threshold offer encourages groups to implement creative and inclusive projects that sustainably strengthen cohesion and involve young people in democratic action.
