Description

The Rebischke Scholarship of the Endoprosthetics Foundation is aimed at selected members of the Excellence Academy, appointed by the Convention of University Professorships for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (KUOU). Since 2024, it has specifically supported young professionals in the orthopedic-traumatological field by enabling training in crucial non-medical leadership aspects of large clinical departments. This grant covers training costs that include elements such as management, communication, and strategic planning. The selection of scholarship recipients is made exclusively by the KUOU Convention, which consists of senior university professors, thereby ensuring a high level of professional quality. Interested prospective leaders can submit their application via a standardized online form and must provide a current CV as well as proof of their KUOU membership.

The goal of the Rebischke Scholarship is the sustainable development of future leaders in orthopedics and trauma surgery through practical continuing education beyond pure medicine. The funding not only strengthens personal and professional development but also improves the quality of care in German clinics in the long term. The Endoprosthetics Foundation, as a nationwide funding body, thereby underscores its commitment to excellent research and innovative training. This scholarship honors the memory of Hanns-Karl Rebischke and makes a decisive contribution to optimally preparing the next generation of clinical leadership for the complex demands of large departments.
