Description

As a nationwide grant program in the fields of environmental and nature conservation, climate protection, and energy efficiency, Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH supports investments by companies, interest groups, other associations, and religious institutions within the framework of the initiative "Reduction of Climate-Relevant Gases." Eligible are all entrepreneurial organizations implementing measures according to § 4 of the Investment Promotion Guidelines 2022 (UFI) that are not assigned to any other funding area. Funding is provided particularly for projects aimed at reducing operational noise emissions, lowering climate-damaging emissions, as well as pilot and demonstration plants that test new or significantly improved technologies on a large scale. Electronic application submission is open for projects between March 1, 2024, and December 31, 2050, with applications required to be submitted prior to the first binding investment commitment.

Eligible costs include both pure investment costs for plant components as well as accompanying planning and installation costs. Applicants must submit a technical description along with evidence of project objectives, novelty, and environmental impact, and for a complete application, include an economic feasibility calculation, current offers, and relevant official decisions. For investment volumes of 500,000 euros or more, a report from the lending bank is additionally required. The grant program aims to financially secure sustainable operational solutions that demonstrably contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases while simultaneously reducing operational noise emissions. All necessary forms and checklists are available via the Domestic Environmental Funding portal. Evaluation is conducted by the Service Team for Other Environmental Protection Measures, and upon positive assessment, funding proposals are forwarded to the responsible commission.
