Description
Rural Development Program (RELE 2014–2020 guidelines) in Saxony-Anhalt supports concrete investments in rural areas with funds from the EU, the federal government, and the state. It promotes tailored infrastructure measures such as rural road construction to develop agricultural and tourism potentials, as well as land consolidation and land exchange to optimize agricultural structures. Furthermore, village renewal and development, construction of sports facilities primarily for non-school use, as well as the new construction and renovation of fire stations and firefighting water extraction points are key focuses. Additionally, new facilities for local basic services, for example village community shops, can be implemented to sustainably improve quality of life on site.
Funding is provided to small and medium-sized enterprises, municipalities, public institutions, and private individuals throughout the entire federal state (excluding Magdeburg and Halle (Saale)). Companies in difficulty are excluded from funding. The grant amounts depend on the type and scope of the measure and provide planning security for projects aimed at strengthening rural areas. Project sponsors submit their applications continuously to the locally responsible Office for Agriculture, Land Consolidation and Forestry (ALFF). This ensures a continuous funding framework that drives development and strengthens regional economic cycles.
