Description

Under the General Funding Guideline of the State of Salzburg, a permanently open grant instrument supports operational regional development projects that specifically contribute to reducing disparities between central economic areas and structurally weaker regions. Eligible for funding are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, interest groups, associations, as well as non-profit organizations based in Salzburg. Funding is provided for business foundations, settlements, or expansions, as well as networking and cooperation projects that make a measurable contribution to improving the quality of the location. The project’s technological content, resource-efficient service delivery, and the securing or creation of year-round jobs are evaluated. The program is particularly aimed at projects that not only provide short-term impulses but also generate sustainable effects for regional value creation.

Applications can be submitted at any time by presenting a general funding application with a comprehensive project description and a detailed financing plan. This includes proof of the legal status of organizations, the current annual plan with financial statements, as well as information on in-kind contributions and already committed third-party funding. The specific requirements are defined in the funding agreement depending on the project objective – ranging from the level of technological content to resource efficiency. Due to the open submission period, there is no fixed deadline, allowing for flexible realization of investments and cooperations planned at short notice.
