Description

The Tel Aviv Residency Fellowship – Visual Arts is aimed at professional artists residing in North Rhine-Westphalia who can already demonstrate public recognition in the field of visual arts. For a period of six months, the Kunststiftung NRW provides a fully equipped live-work studio in Tel Aviv and awards a grant for living expenses and studio rent. During the stay, there is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the vibrant art scene of the metropolis, establish inspiring contacts with international colleagues, and further develop one’s practice in an open, experimental environment. The residency supports production-independent research and creates space for innovative approaches in painting, sculpture, photography, or interdisciplinary formats.

With the program goal of intensifying artistic networking and international exchange, the fellowship offers valuable impulses for one’s artistic career. Requirements for application include proof of residence in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as documentation of initial publicly impactful projects. Submission includes a well-founded project description, a meaningful CV, and work samples or portfolio. Selection by an independent expert panel ensures that outstanding positions are supported and long-term impulses for the art landscape in North Rhine-Westphalia are set. The Tel Aviv Residency Fellowship thus opens up a sustainable perspective for artists to increase their international visibility and explore new artistic horizons.
