Description
The funding program of the Free State of Saxony supports measures for inter-company training in the fields of agriculture, forestry, and domestic management, as well as training-integrated degree programs, through a grant approach. The aim of the funding is to enhance the quality and practical relevance of vocational training by conducting courses in recognized training occupations in accordance with the Vocational Training Act. It is important that the course content is part of the respective valid training regulations and that participants complete at least 80% of the course days. In addition to course fees, costs for necessary external accommodation of participants may also be subsidized. The funding is aimed at educational institutions and other providers offering inter-company training measures, thereby contributing to sustainable skilled labor development in the Free State.
In the area of initial and further training, this offer enables a broad spectrum of qualification measures that meet today’s requirements for company-based training. Grants are awarded differentiated according to various course clusters – from technical units in tractor and agricultural technology to specialized offerings in dairy farming. This differentiated grant amount allows the diverse needs of training companies to be met and prioritizes support for innovative training concepts. In addition to financial support for course costs, the financing of necessary, mostly external accommodation is also considered, ensuring a smooth implementation of the training measures.
Applications are submitted via the official funding portal of the Saxon Development Bank – Förderbank – (SAB) and are intended for measures starting from January 2, 2025. Before submitting the application, all funding requirements, such as proof of registration of the training contract in the corresponding register, must be fulfilled. This guideline underscores the Free State’s commitment to modernizing vocational education and improving the framework conditions in the long term. Ultimately, the support of inter-company training measures aims to establish a forward-looking network for promoting young skilled workers that sustainably strengthens the regional economic location.
