Description

RuhrKunstBewegt is an interdisciplinary educational and mediation program aimed at children and young people of all ages in the Ruhr area and their educational partners. Within the network of RuhrKunstMuseen, the Lehmbruck Museum invites participation in consecutive workshops that combine artistic-aesthetic approaches from theater, dance, and music with museum content. The goal is to make the museum an experiential and learning space, to promote creative skills, and to raise awareness of contemporary art. The modular structure of the program offers flexible entry points and strengthens cooperation between schools as well as children’s and youth recreational facilities in North Rhine-Westphalia.

RuhrKunstBewegt is being implemented as an ongoing program until August 2026 within the framework of grant funding by the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum Foundation – Center for International Sculpture, Duisburg. Educational institutions and non-profit organizations can continuously submit applications to realize their projects with the support of the RuhrKunstMuseen. Through the close networking of all participating institutions, a sustainable platform for cultural education is created, promoting equal opportunities and participation in the fields of culture, media, labor & social affairs, as well as vocational training and further education. Registration remains open until August 31, 2026, allowing for flexible integration into both school and extracurricular concepts.
