Funding objective
The aim of the funding is to improve the energy efficiency of public non-residential buildings and infrastructures owned by public authorities or non-profit organizations in Saxony-Anhalt, to save energy, and thereby reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Description
The funding program offers targeted support for investment measures aimed at increasing energy efficiency in public non-residential buildings and infrastructures in Saxony-Anhalt. The focus is on saving energy and significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Funding is provided, among other things, for the installation of photovoltaic systems, the installation of heat pumps, and the conversion to LED lighting with a funding rate of up to 90 % of eligible expenses. Additionally, planning and digitization costs, green roof solutions, and rainwater utilization can be considered up to 20 % of the total costs. Selection is based on defined criteria such as integration into a climate and usage strategy, percentage of final energy savings, as well as the use of renewable energy or nature-based solutions.
Eligible to apply are sports clubs within the State Sports Association, local authorities, cities, municipalities, district-free cities, as well as non-profit and public entities that operate public non-residential buildings or are owners of these properties. A prerequisite is an investment volume between €50,000 and €1,000,000, as well as proof by means of an energy certificate or an expert-verified building profile. Excluded are residential buildings, construction measures prior to application submission, and the acquisition of land. For the application, among other documents, a project description, a cost calculation according to DIN 276, the document checklist AN-9-220, as well as declarations regarding procurement and economic entitlement must be submitted. Applications can be submitted electronically until June 30, 2027.
