Description

The Salzburg Education Voucher supports private individuals with their main residence in the state of Salzburg in career-oriented training, further education, and retraining at certified educational institutions. The aim of the funding is to enhance the professional qualifications of employees, freelance service providers, marginally employed persons, apprentices, re-entrants, unemployed individuals, or self-employed persons with up to five employees, as well as recipients of childcare allowance or educational leave. Applications can be submitted at any time before the start of the course but must be submitted electronically no later than three months after the course begins. Only course costs are funded, with a funding rate of 50% to 90%, depending on age, educational qualification, and course category. The maximum amounts range from up to 1,100 euros for standard courses to 2,200 euros for preparatory courses for master craftsman examinations or specialist training in digital professions.

To apply, a participation confirmation from the educational institution and proof of self-payment are required. At least 75% attendance or a successfully passed examination must be confirmed by the institution. Travel, accommodation, or material costs as well as examination and tuition fees are excluded. The personal continuing education account is available to eligible applicants for four years from the initial application. A funding commitment will be communicated in writing after receipt of the complete application and a positive budget review. In the event of premature course termination or missing documentation, the application is considered withdrawn. The Salzburg Education Voucher thus offers a reliable financing perspective for individual qualification and contributes to long-term employability in the state of Salzburg.
