Description

The student dormitory funding of the State of Upper Austria grants subsidies for the ongoing expenses of student and apprentice dormitories in Upper Austria. Eligible for funding are interest groups, other associations, foundations, public institutions, as well as non-profit organizations that act as operators of boarding schools. The measure falls within the thematic area of education as well as initial and continuing training and is continuously announced. The aim is to ensure the accommodation and care of students and apprentices and thereby guarantee a smooth daily routine at the dormitory and in training. The legal basis is provided by the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria as well as specific guidelines for the funding of student dormitories, apprentice dormitories, and boarding schools for ongoing operations. The funding is granted as a direct subsidy and has been available without a fixed time limit since November 26, 2013 (reference number 1027150).

Submissions are possible annually during the current school year until February 15. A prerequisite is the proper formal application by the dormitory operators, supplemented by the submission of invoices and payment confirmations. A written application using the form is required. Since this is an open-ended funding, operators can apply for a new grant for each accounting period. The approved funds are paid out as direct funding and support the coverage of ongoing operating costs. Thus, the program provides a reliable source of financing for the responsible management of Upper Austrian student and apprentice dormitories. The application form is provided by the Department of Culture and Society of the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government.
