Description

The student internship at the Vocational Training Center Burghausen (BBiW) offers students from secondary modern and intermediate schools in Southeast Bavaria the opportunity each July to experience technical and chemical training professions firsthand at Wacker Chemie AG. In intensive internship weeks, insights into professions such as chemical technician, chemical laboratory technician, as well as electronics technician, mechatronics technician, industrial mechanic, and plant mechanic are provided. The events take place on two dates: July 6–10, 2026, for secondary modern school students in the 8th grade or 9th grade in the M-track, and July 20–24, 2026, for intermediate school students in the 9th grade. The aim is to strengthen career orientation and provide participants with comprehensive information about training opportunities in the scientific-technical field.

Eligible to participate are students in the 8th grade of the M-track or the 9th grade at grammar schools or intermediate schools residing or attending school in Southeast Bavaria. Placement is granted based on the date of receipt and completeness of application documents. The application requires the current report card and a resume indicating address, date of birth, school, and grade level. Submission is to be made by email at the beginning of the school year; due to limited capacity, early application is recommended. The project start is scheduled for July 6, 2026.
