Description

The pilot project Schul:stark! by the Achtung!Kinderseele Foundation targets educational institutions in Hamburg and North Rhine-Westphalia and promotes the socio-emotional competencies of children during the transition from daycare to primary school. Over a period of 24 months, medically supervised webinars are offered, specifically addressing daycare educators, primary school teachers, and parents. The focus is on practical examples, creative methods, and scientifically based content to enable young participants a smooth adjustment and positive learning experiences. The seminars cover topics such as attachment work, emotional self-regulation, and social interaction—measures that, according to recent studies, have a particularly effective impact on behavioral issues such as hyperactivity, anxiety, or withdrawal.

Interested institutions can apply continuously by email until the project start in autumn 2025. Prerequisites include registration by a daycare center or primary school in one of the project regions, as well as providing location and contact details. Funding is provided in the form of a grant covering all costs associated with participation. Cooperation with specialists in child and adolescent psychiatry ensures close professional support. During the pilot phase, two site networks per federal state—each consisting of one daycare center and one neighboring primary school—will be selected to ensure continuous support for the children. Following the successful completion of the pilot projects, an expansion to further regions is planned.
