Schools for Social Care Professions Salzburg (SOB)

The funding Schools for Social Care Professions Salzburg (SOB) supports educational and public institutions in the state of Salzburg and is anchored in the funding areas of social affairs, initial & continuing education, education, as well as labor & social affairs. With an annual budget of up to 0.5 million euros, the school fees for all students of the SOB schools in Salzburg are fully covered. This lump-sum oriented measure is not aimed at individuals but at the sponsors of the respective educational institutions and sustainably secures the financial basis for training in nursing, long-term care, and disability work.

Only the legal sponsors of the SOB schools in the state of Salzburg are eligible to apply, submitting an application each calendar year for the cost coverage of school fees. Only the actual training costs of the entire student body are eligible for funding; individual applications from private persons are excluded. A key prerequisite for approval is the timely submission of payment receipts as well as compliance with the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Salzburg. Since 01.01.2020, this grant option has been available indefinitely and significantly contributes to increasing the attractiveness of training in the social sector.
