Description
The Hopp Foundation supports public and non-profit schools in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region in implementing innovative school development projects through the use of agile methods. The focus is on Design Thinking and Scrum, which help address complex school challenges such as digitalization, the creation of modern spatial concepts, or the development of a mission statement. Experts from the foundation accompany the project team – consisting of teachers, school leadership, students, and, if applicable, parents – as methodological coaches. Within a timeframe of six months, they assist in analyzing the initial situation, designing creative, user-centered solutions, and practically implementing initial measures. The conclusion consists of a reflective event as well as a brief report on the results and experiences gained.
For the application, a public or non-profit school from Baden-Württemberg or Rhineland-Palatinate in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region is eligible, provided that basic knowledge of agile methods is already available or participation in a Design Thinking or Scrum workshop offered by the Hopp Foundation has taken place. The evaluation of applications is based on the feasibility of the project idea as well as the foundation’s available capacities. Applications can be submitted continuously. Required are the completed application form and a concise project description outlining objectives, participants, and scheduling. This continuously accessible funding offer enables schools to design innovation processes in a methodologically sound manner and to set sustainable impulses for educational practice.
