Description
The funding strengthens the sustainable development of Burgenland's tourism and leisure industry through non-repayable grants for investments in accommodation businesses, gastronomy, recreational facilities, as well as environmental and accessibility measures. Eligible are new constructions, expansions or renovations, operational size optimizations, and innovations in hotel, gastronomy, and sports enterprises, measures to extend the season, and investments in energy savings and safety. Applicant companies must maintain a business location in Burgenland, demonstrate a minimum net investment of €10,000, and provide a detailed breakdown of all requested expenses (planning, construction costs, equipment) in their project description. The minimum project duration is 24 months, with a retention period of 3 years (SMEs) or 5 years (large enterprises). The funding amount ranges from 10% to 30% of eligible costs depending on company size and project quality, supplemented by an apprenticeship bonus of up to €7,000 and considering employment-related requirements. Applications can be submitted continuously until 31.12.2026.
For the application, companies submit the completed form with cost estimates and receipts, supplemented by financial statements from the last three years, detailed cost breakdowns, project and company concepts, as well as proof of full financing. In the case of ERDF co-financing, a questionnaire on sustainability and equal opportunities must also be provided. During project implementation, publicity requirements (A3 poster, program logo on publications, project information on the website) must be observed. Projects eligible for funding under EU state aid regulations are selected based on clear evaluation criteria (innovation, growth potential, regional flagship function). With the funding agreement, Wirtschaftsagentur Burgenland GmbH ensures prompt processing – from the initial consultation to final accounting.
