Description
The project "SMK-ESF Plus Guideline Educational Potentials Lifelong Learning – D – Project for Children with Special Learning and Life Challenges" supports committed educational institutions and public facilities in the Free State of Saxony in improving the quality of care in daycare centers. Financial grants are provided using funds from the European Social Fund Plus to promote the deployment of additional qualified personnel. This qualification enables targeted support for children with special learning and life challenges, thereby ensuring equal educational opportunities and optimal development.
The focus of the funding program is on the employment of qualified professionals whose tasks include assessing individual needs, developing tailored support offers, and intensive collaboration with parents. In addition to direct pedagogical work, the project also involves establishing networks in which institutions exchange information with social, therapeutic, and medical experts. By promoting coordination and advisory centers, it is also ensured that the professional supervision of the deployed personnel and respective institutions is conducted in a structured manner. Depending on the objective, the grant can cover up to 95 percent, or up to 100 percent for advisory institutions, of the eligible expenses.
The program is aimed at sponsors of daycare centers that care for children requiring additional support to overcome educational barriers. The requested grants cover not only personnel costs but also material and administrative expenses and are granted as co-financing over a project period of 36 months. Applications must be submitted in compliance with specific requirements – for example, the required qualifications of the professionals and documentation within the SAB funding portal. Thus, the funding initiative offers a sustainable opportunity to optimize the quality of care and significantly develop the educational potentials of lifelong learning for children with special challenges.
