Special Account for Refugee Aid – Grants for Volunteer Refugee Assistance

The special account for refugee aid of the Bürgerstiftung Leichlingen is aimed at private volunteers, non-profit organizations, and associations in Leichlingen and Witzhelden who are committed to the integration and practical support of refugees on a voluntary basis. Funds are collected via a central donation account to promote projects and activities in an unbureaucratic and timely manner. The funding covers all costs and enables groups and individuals to receive 100% financial backing for aid services such as German courses, leisure activities, or counseling offers. Applications can be submitted at any time, ensuring a fast and flexible allocation of funds.

The funding objective includes the sustainable strengthening of social cohesion through practical support and integration measures for refugees on site. As an independent and non-denominational institution, the Bürgerstiftung Leichlingen guarantees a responsible use of funds exclusively for voluntary projects in refugee aid. Interested applicants need, in addition to non-profit status, only proof of their engagement in active refugee aid in Leichlingen or Witzhelden. The program thus creates incentives for increased social commitment and makes an important contribution to promoting democratic values in the North Rhine-Westphalia region.
