Description
The school campaign of the SozialCard Graz is aimed at families with low household income who possess a valid SozialCard from the city of Graz and have school-age children. At the beginning of each school year, eligible SozialCard holders automatically receive a one-time payment of €60 per school child. This reduces the financial burden of purchasing school supplies and facilitates a smooth start to the new school year. The funding is designed as a one-time grant and contributes to promoting equal opportunities for all children in Graz.
A separate application is not required for the school campaign: the payment is made automatically, provided that the main residence and SozialCard status are met on the key date. Participation requires uninterrupted registration of the main residence in Graz for at least six months, completion of the 18th year of age, and proof of low household income (for example, exemption from ORF fees or receipt of minimum social benefits). The “Once-Only” principle ensures that already available income data is used. The continuously available funding option without deadlines offers planning security for affected families. The city of Graz handles the processing through the Social Welfare Office and ensures prompt crediting of the funds to the specified household account.
