Description
SozialCard Graz – Christmas Allowance Campaign supports low-income households in Graz with an annual Christmas allowance of €50 per household. From the fourth person registered in a household onwards, the amount increases by €10 per person. The payment is made automatically directly to the account of the SozialCard holders, without a separate application. As an ongoing funding measure in the area of Social Affairs, Labor & Social Services, the campaign aims to ensure uncomplicated and reliable financial relief during the Christmas season. The budget is unlimited and targets private individuals with a permanently valid SozialCard and main residence in Graz.
Eligible are adult SozialCard holders who have been registered in Graz for at least six months and can provide proof of low household income (e.g., GIS exemption, minimum income support, or benefits under the Disability Act). Third-country nationals with initial registration after 01.01.2016 additionally require a signed integration declaration. Funding prerequisites include, among others, Austrian citizenship or a residence permit valid for more than three months. For the initial issuance of the SozialCard, valid photo ID, a current passport photo, proof of residence, AMS registration, and, if applicable, pension and adult guardianship certificates must be submitted. The funding has been valid since 20.09.2012 and runs indefinitely; the allocation of the Christmas allowance is made automatically once a year.
