Description
Social Pedagogical Family Support in Styria offers long-term, social pedagogical guidance to families facing psychosocial, educational, material, or social challenges. In close cooperation with district administrative authorities, a tailored care concept is developed and implemented directly in the families' living environment. The funding objective focuses on strengthening self-responsibility, existing resources, and problem-solving skills within the family, as well as enhancing parental educational competence to sustainably ensure and promote the well-being of children and adolescents.
As a grant program, the funding is exclusively aimed at non-profit organizations that have a written service agreement with the state government. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis. Facilities that support and accompany families in acute crisis situations – for example, following separation, in single-parent responsibility, or multiple psychosocial burdens – are eligible for funding. Additional prerequisites include limited daily organization, developmental deficits, or a risk to the child’s welfare. Continuous financing enables reliable care that strengthens families in their independence and provides professionals with the space for professional support.
