Description
Since 1821, the Evangelical Parish Endowment Foundation Baden (EPSB) has been supporting projects in Baden-Württemberg that make culture within church spaces and nature- or experiential education in the foundation’s forest tangible. Sponsorship is provided for events and formats that perceive churches not only as places of faith but also as vibrant cultural venues – ranging from concerts and dance performances to lecture series. In parallel, engagement in the foundation’s forest enables innovative projects that develop natural spaces as places of learning and experience. The EPSB places particular emphasis on cultural quality, educational added value, and creative approaches that directly reflect the foundation’s purpose.
Eligible for funding are registered associations, interest groups, non-profit organizations, as well as public institutions. In particular, church congregations, non-profit educational providers, and environmental initiatives that conduct cultural and educational formats within church spaces or implement nature- and experiential-education measures in the foundation’s forest receive ongoing support here. Applications can be submitted continuously; there is no minimum or maximum funding amount specified. A fundamental prerequisite is always a demonstrable connection to the foundation’s purpose as well as a convincing concept that combines innovation with cultural and educational impact. Through sponsorship, the EPSB strengthens the dialogue between church, culture, and nature and opens up new perspectives on traditional and contemporary formats for participants. Interested initiatives are encouraged to submit their project ideas and thereby actively contribute to cultural and ecological coexistence in Baden-Württemberg.
