Description
The Sports Facilities and Sports Complex Funding of the State of Burgenland supports Burgenland sports clubs, municipalities, as well as natural and legal persons in the new construction, expansion, conversion, and renovation of competition and training facilities, as well as trend and multi-sport facilities. In the form of a non-repayable grant, construction and renovation measures, planning and submission costs, technical equipment, and barrier-free infrastructure are funded with a subsidy rate of 20% to 80%. Funding applications can be submitted year-round, and the project duration is a maximum of 24 months. The goal is to promote sustainable and energy-efficient sports infrastructure that provides excellent conditions for both grassroots and elite sports. A prerequisite for approval is proof of remaining financing, compliance with ÖNORM standards, barrier-free execution, and ownership or leasehold status of the property.
Funded measures include, among others, construction works (new construction, renovation), material costs, technical equipment, and barrier-free facilities. Non-eligible are gastronomic or commercially used premises, land purchases, school sports facilities, crane and jetty installations, as well as hobby and recreational sports facilities. For the application, plans, cost estimates, building permits, club register excerpts, bank details, and a completion certificate are required. Evaluation is based on need, cost-effectiveness, compliance with ÖNORM and accessibility requirements, as well as the quality of use in grassroots and elite sports. This funding gives the sports infrastructure in Burgenland a modern, low-barrier, and sustainable profile.
