Description

The Henry & Emil Müller Foundation supports parents of boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy throughout Germany with the program "Finding Strength – Giving Power." The goal is to strengthen the physical and mental health of the parents: Through individually tailored, professional health training, well-being is sustainably enhanced. The foundation covers all costs 100%, so no personal funds are required. Applications can be submitted at any time, and appointments can be arranged flexibly by phone or email. As a continuous support offer, the program is exclusively aimed at parents of boys affected by Duchenne, providing needs-based assistance in everyday life.

The health coaching takes place in personal meetings, where participants are the focus and learn movement and relaxation exercises together with experienced trainers. In this way, stress hormones are reduced, muscle tension is relieved, and everyday burdens are diminished. Under the motto "Movement is the best medicine," the training enables participants to recharge with new energy and promote a long-term positive attitude towards their own body and mind. The program’s support for the next generation aims to empower parents of affected boys in their role so that, with newly gained strength, they can actively participate in family life and accompany their sons in the best possible way.
