Description
Strong with Pencil – Support for Ukrainian Children assists primary schools and their school support associations in the Lippe district in quickly and unbureaucratically equipping Ukrainian school beginners with necessary materials and additional remedial teaching. Funded are starter sets consisting of pencil cases, writing notebooks, sportswear, consumables, books, and digital learning apps, as well as language and remedial instruction (including German lessons) through fees for teachers, trainee teachers, or students. Up to €50 per child can be spent, plus up to €10 per student for social activities that strengthen class cohesion. The project duration extends over 48 months, and applications can be submitted continuously until 31.12.2026.
To apply, a completed form must be sent by email to the Stiftung Standortsicherung Kreis Lippe; upon submission of receipts and provision of the school support association’s bank details, the funding will be transferred to the association’s account. Evaluation criteria include the demonstrated need of the Ukrainian children and the completeness of the documents. The program promotes education, integration, and social cohesion in North Rhine-Westphalia and is expressly aimed at educational institutions and non-profit organizations in the Lippe district. This initiative is made possible by the Stiftung Standortsicherung Kreis Lippe and facilitates the entry of refugee children into everyday school life in an uncomplicated manner.
