Description
The funding program "Start Guides to Support the Recruitment and Integration of International Skilled Workers in Companies in Lower Saxony" is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises as well as start-ups with headquarters or business premises in Lower Saxony. The goal is the financial support of consulting and integration services provided by certified Start Guides to sustainably facilitate the onboarding of international skilled workers. Applications can be submitted at any time; the funding is granted as a non-repayable subsidy for the fees of the guide services. A prerequisite is the prior employment of at least one international skilled worker as well as proof of commissioning a certified Start Guide. Eligible expenses include all costs directly related to the consulting and support of the skilled workers.
The allocation is based on the qualification of the selected Start Guide, the specific needs, and the regional anchoring of the company in Lower Saxony. All expenses for consulting hours, coaching, and integration measures that enable a smooth start of the new skilled workers in daily business operations are eligible for funding. Required documents, in addition to the fully completed application form, include proof of company location and the employment of international staff, as well as the offer or invoice from the Start Guide. The program is implemented by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Social Affairs, Labour, Health and Equality through the Investment and Development Bank of Lower Saxony (NBank) and offers continuous funding opportunities for equitable and future-oriented human resources work in the region.
