Styria!Bonus - Additional Funding for R&D Projects in Styrian Companies

The Steiermark!Bonus complements the FFG funding for experimental development projects in small and medium-sized enterprises based in Styria with an additional loan component of 20%. Participating companies benefit from an expanded financing scope, as the SFG supports the already committed federal funds not only with grants but also by increasing the loan portion. The offer is aimed at innovative SMEs that can demonstrate a positive funding approval in the FFG basic program and submit their application electronically via the eCall procedure between March 1, 2024, and June 30, 2027. This increase does not create any additional bureaucratic hurdles for projects: the SFG automatically intervenes and raises the loan portion by exactly 20% of the original loan amount upon positive FFG evaluation.

After the completion of the FFG evaluation, contract processing, accounting verification, and disbursement are carried out exclusively by the FFG. With this regional supplementary financing, the Styrian Business Promotion Agency sustainably strengthens the innovative capacity of the local economy. Companies thus secure a competitive advantage and lay the foundation for market-ready product and process developments. The Steiermark!Bonus helps ensure that research and development projects in Styria are even better secured and realized more quickly – from the prototype phase to successful market launch. Applications can be submitted continuously until June 30, 2027.
