Description
The Nature and Environment Foundation Rhineland-Palatinate supports committed projects aimed at the sustainable development and preservation of nature and the environment. The funding program supports measures in the areas of nature and species conservation as well as environmental education. With a clear focus on the protection of recreational and living spaces as well as the preservation of biological diversity, the funding is primarily directed at non-profit organizations, associations, federations, and public institutions in Rhineland-Palatinate. The foundation funds projects that are, both statutorily and in practice, predominantly dedicated to nature conservation, landscape management, and environmental protection. Through the provision of grants, initiatives are strengthened that develop innovative solutions to address current environmental issues and promote climate protection measures.
The funding measure offers a continuous opportunity to submit applications and is open to projects with small financial needs as well as more extensive undertakings. Small projects with a funding volume of less than €5,000 can also be approved between regular board meetings, enabling flexible and needs-based access to financial support. The program targets organizations demonstrably active in the fields of environmental/nature conservation, climate protection, and also animal welfare. Through this targeted funding, not only is the sustainable development of the regional environmental landscape promoted, but also the dissemination of knowledge and awareness regarding ecological interrelationships is supported.
Furthermore, the Nature and Environment Foundation Rhineland-Palatinate places great importance on the combination of progress and ecological responsibility. The funding criteria emphasize the statutory as well as actual orientation towards environmental protection and landscape management, thereby creating a clear framework for demanding environmental projects. This initiative particularly highlights environmental education as a key component for a sustainable future, as it lays the foundation for a deeper understanding of natural habitats. Committed actors thus have the opportunity to actively contribute to the preservation and improvement of the environment in Rhineland-Palatinate through innovative project ideas. Through this diverse funding concept, impulses are generated that go beyond direct financial support and also promote the exchange and networking of experts and stakeholders in the field of environmental awareness.
