Description

The Pfadfinden Foundation offers non-profit founding groups throughout the country a unique starter package with the Stiftungskohte: A traditional scout tent (Kohte) is provided as a loan to help design the first trips and camps in an educationally valuable way and to strengthen group identity. Beyond the equipment itself, a guarantee comes into play, as upon recognition as an independent troop, the Kohte permanently becomes the property of the group. Scouts are encouraged to care for the loan responsibly and sustainably so that it remains available for subsequent groups as well. Through this, the Foundation ensures a sustainably organized infrastructure within youth work.

Interested founding groups within the Federation of Girl and Boy Scouts can submit an online application at any time; the completed application, proof of membership, and a declaration of consent must be attached. Continuous application submission without a fixed deadline ensures flexibility in planning. The decision regarding the loan lies with the Pfadfinden Foundation; there is no legal entitlement. This funding offer supports young scouts in the practical implementation of their educational goals and strengthens the cohesion of newly forming groups. Further details on funding guidelines and application procedures can be found in the Foundation’s overall funding guidelines.
