Description
The Ernst Wilken Foundation in Baden-Württemberg supports particularly committed students of computer science, mathematics, and economics at the University of Ulm as well as the Ulm University of Applied Sciences with scholarships and, if applicable, sponsorship awards. The program is aimed at individuals who distinguish themselves through outstanding academic achievements and/or social engagement. The funding generally extends over a period of twelve months and primarily covers living expenses. Application documents are accepted by June 15 for the winter semester and by December 15 of the previous year for the summer semester.
Participation requirements include enrollment in one of the specified degree programs at one of the two universities as well as proof of excellent grades or social engagement. Academic performance and voluntary commitment play a central role in the selection process. Submission must include a motivation letter (maximum two pages), a letter of recommendation from the university, a tabular CV, evidence of special qualifications or awards, documents relating to social engagement, proof of personal or family circumstances, a copy of the high school diploma, and a current certificate of enrollment. A one-time extension of the scholarship is possible upon application and presentation of corresponding performance records.
