Description

The scholarship funding of the Da Ponte Foundation Darmstadt is aimed at young singers and instrumentalists born after 1993 who are studying at a music university or conservatory or have recently completed their studies. Preference is given to applicants from the Rhine-Main region. The jury evaluates artistic potential, innovation, and relevance to the regional audience. Both financial grants and facilitation of public performances are supported to enable practical training. The foundation operates indefinitely, so applications are reviewed continuously. Required are a fully completed application form, a musical curriculum vitae, detailed presentation proposals, and an audio or video sample. The funding amount varies according to the jury's decision; there is no fixed deadline, so funding applications can be submitted at any time.

The goal is to sustainably strengthen the musical Nachwuchs (young talent) in the state of Hesse and to pave the way for young talents into concert practice through a scholarship. In addition to soloists, the Da Ponte Foundation supports innovative music projects and offers scholarship holders the opportunity to present themselves in chamber concerts before jurors and audiences. Through the combination of financial support and concert facilitation, attractive development opportunities arise to sharpen the personal profile and prove oneself at professional events. Interested musicians can request the application form from the foundation and apply independently for funding.
