Description

The Broudlet-Startz Foundation supports the school, vocational, and university education of needy descendants from both maternal and paternal lines in North Rhine-Westphalia through the awarding of scholarships. The foundation capital, bequeathed in 1849 by Maria Anna Startz, is exclusively dedicated to promoting education and training in compliance with legal requirements. Funding opportunities are continuously available: interested parties may submit applications at any time by mail to the Financial Management Department of the City of Aachen. Priority consideration is given to needy children, adolescents, and students whose family circumstances necessitate the support provided.

A prerequisite for funding is proof of financial need as well as the familial relationship to the founder. The foundation provides differentiated application forms depending on the educational path for school, vocational, or university support. Accompanying documents such as the foundation's statutes, a data protection knowledge certificate, and, if applicable, a power of attorney must be submitted. After a thorough review, a foundation committee decides on the granting of subsidies. Through a clear application procedure and the continuous provision of funds, the Broudlet-Startz Foundation enables reliable support for young people from families with limited financial resources and thus contributes sustainably to equal opportunities in education and career.
