Description
The scholarship program of the Kroschke Children's Foundation is aimed at Bachelor’s and Master’s students in Northern Germany who wish to conduct research in the fields of music therapy, art therapy, special education, or related study programs. The goal is the sustainable improvement of care for children with illnesses, disabilities, or other handicaps through artistic therapies. Theses are intended to contribute to the expansion of the scientific data base. Funding is provided for a period of up to twelve months with a monthly amount of €300. In addition to financial support, scholarship recipients benefit from non-material services such as professional networking, the presentation of their own research results at foundation events, and, if applicable, the facilitation of internships within foundation projects.
Applications can be submitted at any time and are standardized through the submission of a letter of motivation, a curriculum vitae, a written reference from a university professor, and a data protection declaration. Funding requirements include, among others, enrollment in a suitable field of study (from the 2nd semester in the Bachelor’s program or from the 1st semester in the Master’s program), good academic performance, as well as a strong interest in working with children and adolescents and in advancing the field. Initiative, responsibility, and determination are central evaluation criteria. The Kroschke Children's Foundation supports the scholarship recipients throughout the project duration, thereby contributing to the professionalization of artistic-therapeutic support services.
