Description
The scholarship program of the Lausitzer Braunkohle Foundation supports students with €6,000 per year in the fields of medicine, engineering/natural sciences, and computer science. Eligible applicants are individuals residing or studying in Brandenburg or Saxony who are enrolled in relevant degree programs. The aim is to specifically alleviate living expenses, tuition fees, and material procurement in order to strengthen academic performance and sustainably improve career prospects. The twelve-month funding interval offers planning security and focuses on building expert knowledge in STEM disciplines as well as medical studies. The Lausitzer Braunkohle Foundation places special emphasis on commitment and excellence, reflected in the evaluation criteria: outstanding academic achievements, relevance of the field of study, and a comprehensible individual need for support.
Applications must include a completed funding application form, a detailed project description, CV, current academic transcript, enrollment certificate, and a financial plan. Selection takes place as part of an annual allocation procedure; exact deadlines can be found on the Foundation’s official website. Retroactive expenses and real estate acquisitions are not eligible. The transparent allocation of funds underscores the non-profit nature and binding nature of the funding guidelines as stipulated in the Foundation’s statutes. Students who wish to develop their potential and implement innovative projects in the fields of research, education, and technical development will find a solid foundation for realizing their academic goals in this grant.
