Description

Streetwork is a state funding program in Upper Austria that supports the operation of mobile counseling centers for adolescents and young people in cooperation with the district administrative authorities. The goal is social integration and promotion through low-threshold services in public spaces. The centers offer outreach social work, support in life crises, and information on educational opportunities as well as existential issues. The mobile service builds trust with the target groups and ensures direct access to professional support. This subsidy model strengthens local cohesion and contributes to the prevention of social exclusion.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, and associations with a positive needs assessment. An important prerequisite is the co-financing commitment from the respective district administrative authority, compliance with established quality standards, and regular participation in annual and target agreement meetings. Applicants must submit a current suitability determination notice, an extract from the register of associations, and the latest financial statement. Since the program operates without fixed deadlines, applications can be submitted year-round. Funding recipients report annually on the use of funds and submit a standardized performance report. This transparent procedure ensures professional and impact-oriented implementation and continuous optimization.
