Description
The Family Structural Support of the State of Styria is aimed at private individuals, non-profit organizations, associations, public and educational institutions that wish to create an even more child-friendly living environment in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child through innovative projects. Measures to strengthen parental educational competence, initiatives for better work-family balance, parental education offerings, as well as flexible childcare concepts – including holiday activity weeks for children and adolescents – are funded. With a focus on equal opportunities, sustainability, and intergenerational cohesion, the funding supports not only traditional family structures but also involves seniors, multipliers, and new networks in the implementation. The funding guideline is valid indefinitely and runs continuously, with an annual funding discussion in late autumn defining important content-related key points for the following year.
A detailed activity concept including financial planning based on the provided template is required for the application. After receipt of the funding application, a consultation meeting is arranged; approval is granted before the project starts. The funding rate is up to 80% for personnel expenses, material costs, and event costs, while ongoing operating costs, construction measures, or retroactive costs are excluded. Application criteria include the degree of innovation, sustainability aspects, relevance to the target group, and level of cooperation. In addition to the concept, the documents to be submitted include a current funding application, a de minimis declaration (for GmbH), and income proofs for holiday activity weeks. Submission is electronic and requires own contribution in accordance with the guideline.
