Description
The STARTHELFER study aid from the Betreuungswerk Post Postbank Telekom Foundation is aimed at students from low-income families whose parents or legal guardians are employed by Post, Postbank, or Telekom. As a non-repayable annual grant of up to €2,400, this funding helps to overcome financial barriers during studies and promotes equal opportunities. Full-time degree programs at universities, colleges, and technical colleges are supported, as well as part-time, distance learning, and second degree programs in justified cases. Study abroad within the European Union and Switzerland can also be considered. The foundation sees itself as a supportive partner and provides assistance immediately at the start of studies. The benefits are independent of BAföG entitlement and thus can be flexibly applied in case of changes in the field of study.
Interested applicants can submit an application continuously for the current and the following semester. The prerequisite is that one parent is among the employees associated with Post, Postbank, or Telekom and that the applicable income limits according to the tax code are not exceeded. For application processing, among other documents, enrollment certificates, proof of parental income and employment, pay slips, and in the case of study abroad, a translated certificate of enrollment must be submitted. A 100% funding rate ensures that the full grant amount can be directly invested in study costs, living expenses, or international study stays. With this, the Betreuungswerk Foundation sustainably facilitates educational pathways and supports students in shaping their professional and personal future independently.
