Subsidies to social institutions, clubs, and associations

The city of Villach in Carinthia supports a diverse range of social projects and initiatives with grants that complement the existing social landscape. Funding is provided particularly for services in the areas of social affairs, child and youth welfare, and network building, which have a preventive effect, facilitate access to services, enable living in the familiar environment, and strengthen the inclusion of disadvantaged groups. The goal is the sustainable development of Villach’s social landscape, meeting the needs of various target groups – from families and single parents to people with disabilities and seniors. Eligible applicants include natural and legal persons, associations, cooperatives, interest groups, companies, as well as non-profit and public institutions with headquarters or offices in Villach or with the main residence of the applicants in the city.

Applications must be submitted annually by May 28 at the latest via the online form and apply to the following calendar year. Required documents include, among others, a current company register or ZVR extract (no older than three months), proof of registration in the association register for clubs, and a detailed cost estimate for project costs of €3,000 or more. The eligibility for funding must be justified in writing and all other sources of financing disclosed. The evaluation is based on criteria such as complementing existing offerings, preventive effectiveness, facilitation of access, cost-effectiveness, and appropriateness. Grant recipients are obliged to use the Villach logo on printed materials and invitations and to transparently document the use of funds. This funding offers committed initiatives and organizations an attractive opportunity to strengthen local structures and sustainably improve the quality of life for the population of Villach.
