Description
The subsidies for promoting innovative senior projects in Carinthia offer private individuals and civil society organizations the opportunity to implement projects with grants that actively contribute to lifelong learning and the social participation of seniors. Since 01.01.2014, applications can be submitted at any time, supporting flexible and needs-oriented project development. Eligible are initiatives in the fields of social affairs, education, initial & further training, as well as work & social issues, which create genuine added value for active aging. A prerequisite is the submission of an application by the subsidy recipient, for example by associations, senior citizens' organizations, or coaches, along with the submission of a written application, a detailed project concept including a financing plan, and a declaration of proper use. Proof of original receipts and a written final report ensure the proper use of funds.
The funding program is aimed at seniors who wish to develop their personal and social potentials through innovative activities. Supported are projects ranging from communal learning to intergenerational encounter formats that enhance quality of life and break down barriers between generations. Thanks to the unlimited application deadline, the ongoing procedure allows for spontaneous project initiation and long-term planning. This commitment is accompanied by Department 13 – Society and Integration of the Office of the Carinthian State Government, which decides on the design of support within the framework of the guidelines for funding of the Seniors and Generations Department. Innovative ideas find here a reliable funding basis for the sustainable strengthening of an active senior community.
