Description
The EU-wide call for proposals to support dissemination events in transport research promotes coordination and support measures for the organization of the Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2030 as well as the accompanying award ceremony "TRA Visions." Announced as a Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action, it targets public institutions, educational providers, non-profit organizations, and companies in EU member states and associated countries. Personnel, material, and travel costs as well as event expenses will be funded over a period of 36 months. Applications can be submitted until 07.10.2027. The funding amount is a maximum of €1,600,000 with a funding rate of 100%. Evaluation criteria include the innovativeness of the concept, relevance to transport research with interfaces to policy and industry, as well as dissemination and communication strategy.
The goal is to develop TRA 2030 into a high-profile meeting of researchers, industry representatives, and policymakers and to establish the TRA Visions Awards for early-career and senior researchers for the first time. The selected projects are to plan the organizational process, design technical and political program strands, and define framework conditions for exhibition, demo, and excursion formats. A focus is placed on gender-equitable participation of young scientists, students, and underrepresented groups. Additionally, communication measures before, during, and after the conference are planned to sustainably increase visibility and impact. Developed guidelines and best practices for future specialist events will provide valuable orientation for further EU funding initiatives in the mobility sector.
