Description
Since 2011, the state of Tyrol has provided a continuously open tariff subsidy aimed at the new construction and expansion of photovoltaic systems as well as associated electricity storage units. The goal is to increase green electricity production in Tyrol and feed it into the public grid while adhering to the principles of European Union law. As a non-repayable grant, this program supports projects of all capacity categories, with no minimum size currently set for expansions. Attractive subsidy rates help reduce investment costs and promote the regional expansion of renewable energies in terms of energy efficiency and climate protection.
Eligible for funding are natural and legal persons, companies, non-profit organizations, cooperatives, foundations, public institutions, start-ups, as well as interest groups or other associations based in Tyrol. A prerequisite for approval is the construction of a green electricity system in Tyrol, full feed-in of the generated energy into the public grid, and proof that construction did not begin before the submission of the funding application. The application must include an E-Control portal query for registration in the certificate of origin database and the information sheet “Which PV system do I have?”. The possibility to submit applications at any time makes this funding a flexible pillar of the regional energy transition and offers all project participants planning security and governmental support.
