Description

The Social Fund Vienna (FSW) provides an ongoing grant in the thematic areas of Social Affairs as well as Work & Social Affairs to top up the pocket money for individuals utilizing the fully supported living services in Vienna. This financial support applies when the pocket money, derived from income, minimum social benefits, or care allowance, falls below the legally established minimum amount. The objective is to promote participation in social life, ensure financial independence, and guarantee a minimum amount for personal expenses. Thanks to the unlimited funding option, continuous support can be ensured without the risk of a renewed deadline lapse.

Eligible for funding are private individuals residing in Vienna who contribute personal effort within the framework of fully supported living and whose pocket money is below the legal threshold. No separate submission of all documents is required for the application, as the calculation is automatically based on existing income and care allowance data. The review includes minimum social benefit and care allowance notices as well as income proofs. There are no application fees or additional administrative costs. The legal basis is derived from the Vienna Equal Opportunities Act and the regulation on needs-based minimum social benefits. As the provider of this service, the FSW annually supports around 145,000 clients together with approximately 170 partner organizations, thus enabling straightforward granting and prompt disbursement of the top-up.
