Description
The partially assisted living service of the Fonds Soziales Wien provides needs-based care services in private apartments, individual flats, or shared housing in Vienna. Monthly subsidies finance professionally qualified accompaniment and support to strengthen independence and self-determination in everyday life. The assistance includes a wide range of support, from organizing and maintaining the living space, household management, catering, and accompaniment to medical appointments, to leisure activities, educational events, and administrative or official errands. The care services are provided flexibly according to individual arrangements, either directly in the apartment, at a recognized care center, or at another agreed location.
The funded target group comprises people with physical, psychological, or sensory impairments who have their main residence or habitual abode in Vienna and are at least 18 years old. A prerequisite is a disability according to the Vienna Equal Opportunities Act as well as the absence of similar services from third parties. Only care costs are funded; rent, catering, or other expenses are not covered. Applications can be submitted indefinitely at the customer service of the Fonds Soziales Wien. Required documents include, among others, the completed application form, an official photo ID, birth certificate, proof of citizenship or residence permit, an expert report or decision regarding the disability, social insurance number, and any proof of care level. Evaluation criteria include the needs-based support requirement, orientation towards self-determination, and the professional suitability of the institution.
